Vampiress Review: "Morganville"

http://www.morganvilletheseries.com/

The Gist:  A genius girl starts college and gets bullied by the mean girls of her dorm just to find out they are protected by vampires which infest the entire town the school is in.

Clarification:  This is a web series based on the "The Morganville Vampires" novels by Rachel Caine.  There are only seven episodes of the series unfortunately as the story is decent (not great but not Twilight dull).  I would describe it best as one part "Mean Girls" and one part "Being Human" as the main protagonists of the story live in a house that protects them from the vampires that is haunted by ghosts, one of which being their best friend.

Selling Point: Not much really unless you want to see another tween girl novel acted out after seeing Twilight and Vampire Academy.

Female Vampire Factor:  There's only one in the web series and that's the towns founder.
She comes and goes as she pleases as she doesn't have to be invited in to anyones home like the rest of the vampires.  She keeps the protagonist of the series alive due to her intelligence as it's revealed in the last available episode that she has some type of vampire sickness and believes the young student can help find a cure.

Since it's been a year or so since an update I don't see the web series itself getting a real conclusion but the founder does vamp out for the first time in the last available episode.  I will give what did come out a Vampire Beauty Rating of 2 out of 5.
