Vampiress Review: "Vampegeddon"

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1349651/

The Gist: A group of devil worshiping college students resurrect a vampire and immediately regret their decision.

Clarification:  This is one of those low budget straight to DVD films where the film maker cared more about having something dramatic happening at all times over actual character development.  The result is a film in which the only feeling you have toward it is different levels of how annoyed you are by every character in the film.  While there is a set protagonist in the vampire hunter "Victor Longshank", that aspect of the story get's little to no real screen time at all instead concentrating on the anti social, social life of the gothic devil worshiping college students.  Basically that means nothing of interest really happens till around the 45/50 minute mark and the film is only an hour and fifteen minutes long.

Selling Point: The film does hint a lot at lesbianism between the 3 main female characters including but not limited to lesbian make out sessions being a part of the vampire resurrecting ritual.

Female Vampire Factor:  Out of the main characters in the film, two of the three females do become vampires even if for a brief time.  Specifically the red head "Melissa" (Katherine Von Forelle) and the blonde "Mona" (Sugar Cox)
The third "Liz" (Jacqueline Smith) ends up being possessed by the vampire hunter "Longshank".  Out of the two that vamp Melissa is the 100% lesbian and spends the greater part of the "better" parts of the film half naked as the vampire Giovani wants her for his bride.
The story is fine but it's the presentation that is lacking.   I give the film a Vampire Beauty Rating of 3 out of 5.  A better produced similar story (though without fangs) is the film All Cheerleaders Die
