Vampiress Review: "Club Vampire"

The Gist:  A stripper struggles with becoming a vampire while the vampires who accidently turned her are out to destroy her. Luckily for her one of them has feelings for her.

Female Vampire Factor:  The main protagonist if you can call her that in the film is Corri (Starr Andreef)

She is a single mom whose son does not respect her and does not approve of her lifestyle as a stripper (and apparently she's also an alcoholic).  She is accidentally turned when giving a lap dance at the strip club she works at to Laura who was there along with her brood mate Zero and loses control of her blood lust (Diana Frank)

Problem is their brood leader Alko (Marrium Parris)
has strict rules for their brood and turning someone without authorization breaks that so Zero is tasked with destroying Corri but instead chooses to take her in and show her how to function as a vampire.

The Gist:  So this is a ridiculously cheesy fangless vampire film.  Actually I can't really call it fangless since there is a fang scene in it as one of the strippers dresses like a vampire

and Corri herself also does a vampiress stripper routine where she has fake fangs.
but the actual vampires when they feed use cutting tools and just end up becoming demon like after drinking blood but with no fangs.
This is somewhat addressed as there is an entire dialogue of Corrie being super upset that if she's going to be stuck as a vampire why she can't have fangs since that would've been the only positive of it for her.

I've seen others call this one of the worst vampire films ever made.  I personally wouldn't go that far, not because it's better than expected but because I've definitely seen worse. Though it is pretty bad I wouldn't call it unwatchable.  If it weren't for the nudity it would have definitely qualified for spoofing on Mystery Science Theater 3000 during it's time since it does qualify as laughably bad. I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 1 out of 5.  The story itself has potential though to the point that it's actually pretty entertaining when it was done as the plot of the skinamax film Embrace the Darkness 2 nearly 4 years later.  Marium Parris would go on to play a vampiress again in her short acting career on the daytime soap opera Port Charles

Vampiress Review: "Vampire Strippers"

The Gist: A group of female vampires seek revenge on the man who turned them.

Female Vampire Factor:  All the women in the film are eventually turned into vampires.  As the story goes a vampire lures them all in with the promise of making their dreams come true, gives them tainted wine and then they wake up in his basement chained up and in lingerie.

They eventually break out and go about making money and getting their sustenance via running a strip club. There really isn't much plot outside of the first half hour or so.  From there you just get random stripper scenes

Followed by about 10 minutes of random scenes of them partying and biting men
Followed by a very thrown together ending of the girls getting vampire killing tools and just showing up and killing the vampire Julion that takes all of 2 minutes.

Final Opinion:  This is a VERY raw film. Poor lighting, poor sound and no real plot to the point that it's just an hour and twenty minutes of stuff just happening with some interruptions of people telling you what the plot is supposed to be.  I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 1 out of 5.  Basically it's a combination of the films Blood Angels and Vampz but either one of those films would be a better watch for the female vampire stripper or female vampire revenge plots.

Vampiress Review: Blood Ransom

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2173248/

The Gist: A driver for a group of mobsters devises a plan to save a stripper who works for them who he is in love with not realizing that the mobsters are vampires and the woman is in the process of becoming one herself.

Female Vampire Factor: Since it's established very early that Crystal (Anne Curtis) is a vampire it's not about if but when does it happen.
99% of the film is her fighting her urges so don't expect much vampirism.  She does not want to turn and especially does not want to kill the man she loves Jeremiah with a lot of her dialogue being her trying to convince someone to kill her.  That means the closest you get in that portion is her getting veins in her face and red eyes as she fights back her urges while the two escape the vampires chasing them looking for her.
Once she exposes to Jeremiah what she's becoming they head to a pyschic who explains how she can become human again.  Crystal doesn't believe the psychic so she proves to her what she's saying is true by exposing that she is herself a vampire and her little girl is turning like Crystal is (the idea being you have to drink a special potion within a specific time from being turned and you can go back and also to kill a vampire they must have their throat slid with a specific blade)
(SPOILER ALERT) In the films final act both the vampire and Dan, the cop on the case who happens to be Jeremiah's best friend catch up to them.  Crystal and Jeremiah survive the vampire attack when Crystal forgoes taking the vampire cure in order to rip him to shreds but Dan then confronts them with the intent to kill Crystal.  Jeremiah steps in front of Crystal and pleads for her life and tries to shoot the cop but when that doesn't work because his gun jams gets shot three times in the chest.  This is the one and only time in the film that Crystal actually fangs out as she loses it over Jeremiahs "death" (post credits hints he didn't die and she turned him).

Final Opinion: Best way to describe this film is Innocent Blood meets John Carpenters Vampires. The ending is a bit of a let down especially since the reality was that Crystal was not in any real danger from Dan and could have handled herself (she did after all rip the head vampire to shreds just the scene before and this was just a small town cop) so this kind of falls under the Titanic "Jack didn't have to die because there was plenty of room on the wood" type argument. While it's a good movie I can only give a Vampire Beauty Rating of 3 out of 5 since it's a film about a hot lady almost being a vampire more than being a vampire film.

Vampiress XXX Review: "Vampire Bloodlines: Thicker Than Water"

The Gist: A high school girl is seduced and turned by a vampire claiming to be her long lost aunt.

Clarification: Gina Valentina plays a delinquent school girl who comes to school dressed too slutty.  The film begins with her in detention attempting to seduce her teacher and getting punished for it.

Later on a woman (Kenna Valentina) shows up at Gina's job after hours and sees her trying out the stripper pole.  The women convinces Gina to give her a lap dance then tells her that she is her long lost aunt, there to pass her vampire gift to her niece.

The newly turned Gina returns to her school and now uses her new powers to successfully seduce her teacher who has no choice but to give in to her commands.

As usual Vampire Beauty Rating of 5 out of 5 for the people at Primal Fetish.  They do an absolutely great job of keying in on the seductive aspect of vampirism.  Highly recommend this.

Vampiress Review: "Southern Gothic"

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0803075/

The Gist: After falling for a stripper a guy must rescue her from a brood of vampires who have taken over the club she works and plans on making her their newest member.

Clarification: This is a very dark film with kind of an awkward not so realistic story that revolves around a random guy babysitting a womans daughter so that she could strip at night.  The guy and the daughter end up hitting it off very well  all the while mom is being stalked by the head of a group of vampires. When she doesn't come home one day he goes off looking for her leading to a "way too much work in order to save someone you don't really know in a situation you really didn't need to be in" plot.

Selling Point:A decent amount of horror when the film isn't being bogged down by the "Absentee step dad" plot.

Female Vampire Factor:  So in the will she or won't she category the main female of the film Starla (Nicole Duport) does end up a vampire by the films end.
other than this there isn't a lot of other female vampire action in the film other than one brunette towards the films beginning.
And a blonde stripper school girl who tries to seduce the hero of the film during his big rescue attempt.
It's an OK film which does come off pretty stereotypical if you've watched a lot of independent vampire horror films as it's one of those films that goes more for mood and shock than it does substance.  I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 3 out of 5.

Vampiress Review: "Vampire in Vegas"

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1291582/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast

The Gist: Two guys setting up a pre-wedding guys night out for their friend in Vegas accidentally end up a part of a powerful vampires experiment in order to walk in the sun.

Clarification: A vampire named Sylvian wants to run for Governor of Nevada but in order to do that he needs a serum created that allows him to walk in daylight.  Witnesses to the testing (which involved three female vampires being exposed to sunlight which failed) report it to police who investigate.  While this is going on a guys friends take him to Vegas for a final guys night out before he gets married just to end up at a strip club owned by the main vampire and he just so happens to have the blood type needed to complete the serum. What makes matters worse is the nosey girlfriend of the guy throwing the bachelor party has planted a GPS tracker on them and follow them to the club putting them in danger as well.

Selling Point: Basically you have an all star cast of B grade Cinemax level porn stars and vampire "B" movie actors in a "higher than a normal budget that you'd normally see them in" PG film.

Female Vampire Factor: Only two of the female main characters in the film doesn't sport fangs at some point in the film with that being the female detective played by GiGi Erneta and the doctor creating the serum played by Delia Sheppard.  Other than that the other three main females of the film are vampires by the films end.  The first being Sylvians right hand, a stripper named Shayla aka Cinderella played by Melissa Brasselle.
She only appears sporadically in the film mostly interacting with Sylvain and her main purpose is eye candy more than as a true character important to the plot.
Then you have the girlfriends of the bachelor party goers Nikki and Rachel.
They end up sneaking into the vampire bar to catch their boyfriends actually having fun and put a stop to it but end up getting caught.  Nikki played by Brandi Rackley who was the worse of the two girlfriends in the "paranoid bitchiness" department gets turned immediately and has no issues transitioning into a bloodthirsty killer and turning on her friends.
Rachel (Sonya Joy Sims) on the other hand is more "naggy" than anything so she doesn't transition whatsoever.  The above video is where Nikki tries to get Rachel to feed for the first time which she doesn't.  Rachel only fangs out briefly one time when her fiance comes to rescue her but never does again and is human again by the films finale through the death of the main vampire. The film also has multiple vampire strippers that get super limited fang time as well who are used to capture the guys but those are one off appearances.
Not a terrible film though pretty corny as most horror films with Tony Todd are. I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 4 out of 5.  Despite a strip club setting not a T&A vampire film whatsoever and actually takes itself seriously.  If you want to get a T&A Brandi Rackley film check out Twilight Vamps where she's the main vampire.

Vampiress Review: "G-String Vampire"

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0439185/

The Gist: A Seer who was working undercover at a strip club hides out with a civilian after the club she was at is taken over by Countess Dracula.

Clarification:  Basically the storyline of the film is just time filler in between sex scenes and consists of the "Seer" (Barbi Leigh) telling people what happened at the club.  Not that it really matters considering how terrible it's acted and how non nonsensical the actual script is.   The best way I can describe it is awkward yelling and ill timed frustration and calm.  It's nowhere near as bad as Caress of the Vampire 3 but it's headed toward that direction.

Selling Point: All female cast and the strip/sex scenes are pretty hot.

Female Vampire Factor: The strippers at the club are all seduced and then picked off one by one on the stages of the club by Countess Dracula (Chante Bey).
Her fangs as you can see are quite cheap and rubber looking.  The vampire portions of the film with the Countess have no dialogue and as mentioned above are set up via the Seer explaining to someone how the girls at the club got turned and each sex scene ends with a close up bite.
(Spoiler Alert) The only other female vampire in the film comes in the form of the "surprise" ending.  In it the Seer's  superior officer Lt Jenkins (Katrina Raey) comes to "debrief" her about the incident but instead they end up in a shower sex scene where it's then revealed that she is a vampire as well.
As it tends to happen with Seduction Cinema films from this time period it would be a much better storyline free scene based softcore porn than it is a vampire film but it tries.  I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 2 out of 5

Vampiress Review: "Exit 38"

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0891301/

The Gist:  A vampire who needs to sacrifice women in order to get unlimited power takes over a strip club in order to meet his quota while a group of hunters tries to stop him.

Clarification: This goes down as one of the few low budget Indy films that has actually done an OK job of having several plots going at one time.  You have the plot about the vampire and the hunters then a sub plot about two girls trying to earn their way to California by stripping.  On top of that the hunters are at odds with each other over the death of their wife/daughter who was killed in a botched attack of the main vampire.  Finally you have a plot about the towns sheriff harassing and raping young women.  It does have some stereotypical low budget forced plot points, some of which are kind of funny (IE a rookie stripper getting boo'd for being a bad stripper, because if there's one place known for having high standards its a strip club.)

Selling Point:  It's a vampire movie that takes place in a strip club but with a bit of effort put into it.

Female Vampire Factor:  There are two in this film (yeah I know only two female vampires in a vampire strip club movie).  First you have Christina (Stevie Dean)
Christina is the woman who's death the hunters fight over but obviously as you can see she didn't die.  The thing is her being a vampire isn't even the biggest plot twist in the story especially regarding her.

Then there's Pat (Josie Harris)
Pat gets turned by the main vampire but only fangs out in a scene where she seduces and attacks one of the hunters (who she later develops a relationship with which would be believable if not for the age difference but then against she is supposed to be a stripper so nevermind).  IF the name of this actress sounds familiar it's probably because you read a lot of tabloids as this is the hotty who went through the REALLY messy breakup with boxing star Floyd Mayweather.

For low budget movie standards it's decent.  In fact the ending of the movie is above average with the problem being some of the stuff you have to get through just to get to that point.  The biggest takeway for this blog of course being that a strip club movie full of naked women being bitten only has two fem vamps.  For that I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 3 out of 5

Vampiress Review: "Night Junkies"

http://www.vampirebeauties.com/2014/07/vampiress-review-darkfall-resurrection.html

The Gist:  After a chance meeting a stripper down on her luck meets up with and falls for a vampire.

Clarification:  Actually this movie is pretty much back to back rape and gore scenes with very little substance.  In fact it's not much of a vampire movie as "vampirism" in this film is just symbolism for drug addiction so you get a lot of scenes of the two main characters lying around and whining about their addiction.

Selling Point:  There are strippers and a lot of nudity (but that doesn't even make it watchable).

Female Vampire Factor: No fangs and self hating vampires are probably my two biggest pet peeves in a vampire movie.  Freddie Krugar never killed the kids of Elm Street then thought about going to therapy for it because he was miserable about it.  That's what made the whole thing scary.  I know there is an audience for the "junkies suffering through their miserable lives" genre so if you're into that then you might like this as it basically is a horror non urban version of the 1998 film "The Players Club" complete with Ruby working as a stripper at a club that encourages taking drugs and sex with customers and the biggest issue being customers getting physical with them (which happens in almost every sex scene).  Also if you're just a fan of seeing movies full of nudity then this will pretty much fall under something that might be watchable as lets face it Katia Winter as Ruby Stone is pretty hot.
Otherwise if you don't fall into any of those categories than this film will come off dull, repetitive and just downright boring.  I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 1 out of 5.  For a better tortured vampire love story I highly recommend the 2012 film Kiss of the Damned.
