From Playboy to Bloodsucker: Playmates who have played vampires

If there's anything more elusive than the vampire supermodel it might just be the vampire playmate.  Here are some examples of the Playboy playmates who've bared the fangs (each picture leads to an example of their playboy spread).

Lee Anne Vamp

Cosplay model Lee Anna Vamp isn't a stranger to the fangs by any means (she has several gallerias up on this site alone) so her photo shoot for Playboy.com as Vampirella should have been no surprise.

Samantha Martinez

Pretty much an unknown at the time the latin model won her episode on the 3rd season of the Playboy channel series "Playboy's Sexy Girls Next Door".  Her prize?  A sexy Playboy photo shoot and video dressed as a vampire seducing an unsuspecting female.

Kasia Denise

A regular in the magazine all over the world the Polish beauty was featured as a blood sucking vampire in the October 2009 edition which featured an article on the rising popularity of vampires.

Corinna Harney

The 1992 Playboy Playmate of the year played one of the lead vamps in the 1996 Roger Corman film "Vampirella" based on the graphic novel.

The Collinson Twins

The first set of twins to ever pose nude on the pages of the storied magazine back in October of 1970 happened to also appear naked when they were featured as the main vampires in the third installment of Hammer Horrors Karnstein Trilogy "Twins of Evil".

Serria Tawan

The November 2002 Playboy Playmate of the Month played a hot lesbian vampire in the 2004 straight to DVD urban horror "Vampz: Sistaz in Blood"

Erika Elaniak

The Playboy Playmate of the month for July 1989 sprouted a set of fangs in the final scene of the 1996 theatrical flop "Tales From the Crypt presents: Bordello of Blood".

Elizabeth Gracen

The first former Miss America to ever pose nude in Playboy, Gracen appeared as a celebrity nude in the May 1992 edition of the Magazine.  She would later appear as the Vampire Queen in a season 4 episode of the supernatural television series "Charmed".

Kelly Monaco

The Playboy Playmate of the month in April 1997 made quite a career for herself with her clothes on in the world of soap opera's which she does to this day.  Prior to her current run on General Hospital she played the role of Olivia Locke on the shows half hour spinoff "Port Charles". A show which during it's final seasons saw the town of Port Charles infested with vampires.  One of which being Olivia. 

Lorissa McComas

The cover girl of the 1991 Playboy book of Lingerie played the vampire queen in the 1995 "B" film "Vamps: Deadly Dream Girls"

Amy Weber

Weber who was introduced in season 3 of the Howard Stern produced Baywatch Parody "Son of the Beach" became a vampire briefly in the eighth episode of her run.  The former WWE diva had her laptop stolen in 2012 which had held some unreleased nude pics of her shot by the magazine.  To keep anyone from benefiting from having those pics she released them herself publically shortly afterword.

Crista Flannagan

The sketch comedy actress who played "Eden" the vampire mother of Edward in the 2010 Twilight spoof "Vampires Suck" posed nude in the August 2010 issue of the magazine.

Jaclyn Swedberg

The 2012 Playboy Playmate of the year posed as a sexy vampire for an October 2014 PSA for heart disease.

Playboys Sexy Girls Next Door was a reality television series which aired exclusively on Playboy TV from 2000 to 2005.  In the series Playboy producers would select three women from around the country to come live in a mansion and do sample photo shoots put together by the team who does the spreads for Playboy magazine.  The girl who puts on the best shoot then gets a Playboy contract and does a sexy video.  While the premise is "reality", it is porn reality which isn't very realistic (which is a good thing in this case).  I say this because seemingly in every episode the girls hit it off very well to the point that they eventually end up in a naked pillow fight, shower, skinny dip or any other cheesy softcore porn cliche you can come up with. 

In this particular episode the winner of the contest is a sexy latina from Arizona named Samantha Martinez (below)

Samantha's sexy shoot for Playboy was a dark piece in which she walks into a random bedroom wearing a short black pleather dress coat with sexy lingerie underneath.  She begins getting romantic with a young woman who was laying unsuspecting in the bed of the room with both eventually getting fully naked.  As they really start to get into it Samantha sprouts a set of fangs and begins drinking the blood from the young woman's neck.  Once she takes it all she gets dressed and moves on.....  Like I said, "porn reality".

Vampiress Review: "Vampirella"

The Gist: An alien princess from a planet of vampires comes to Earth in order to get revenge on a group of alien fugitives who murdered her family.

Clarification: Vampirella is an "R" rated comic book icon and sadly this is the only film version of her in existence.  The reason this is sad is that in the 1970's, Hammer Horror was actually in the works to make a film version starring Barbara Leigh which fell through.  Even sadder, Leigh wasn't their original choice for the role and Caroline Munro (aka the hot brunette who doesn't get turned in Dracula 1972 A.D. OR Captain Kronus - Vampire Hunter) was but she turned it down due to the high levels of nudity in the script.  I can only imagine how great that movie would have been but since it didn't happen, instead we get a rather corny attempt brought to you by the king of corny "B" movies Roger Corman

Selling Point: Most of the female vamps in the film are former Playboy Playmates.

Female Vampire Factor: This Film gets a Vampire Beauty Rating of 2 out of 5.  For a movie based on a comic book series who's sole purpose is to attract a male audience through raunchiness, there is very little actual raunchiness.  As a matter of fact, Soto's version of the Vampirella costume seems to cover up more than it shows which makes it even more frustrating knowing what the Hammer version would have been like.

Talisa Soto (Vampirella)

Former bond girl Soto luckily for her isn't really remembered for this role as this movie was sandwiched in between two moderately successful Mortal Kombat films where she played Kitana (which her Vampieralla costume reminds me of how Kitana should have looked).  One of the few things I can't complain about in the film is that she does look damn good in the costume which she is in for the entire film.  In the film she shows her fangs a few times (she turns away from the camera and turns back to fang out) and she vamps out once toward the end but never goes through with fully attacking anyone as vampires on her planet have special nourishment where they don't have to feed on people (but it gets taken away in the scene in question making it so she has to try to hold back her vampire instincts.)  

 The Vlad Girls

Vlad refers to the leader of the group of vampire fugitives who came to Earth centuries ago after killing the parents of Vampirella.  They all settled down on the planet and made a living blending in with humans while also feeding off of them.  Anyone that one of the originals feeds off of becomes a vampire themselves but any non Draculonian (the planet they come from is "Draculon") cannot create a new vampire.  There is only one Draculonian female and that's Sallah who is played by former playboy playmate Corinna Harney.  The other 3 girls are nameless disciples that are used in the plot to kidnap Vampirella friend, love interest and vampire hunter Adam Van Helsing.

Sexy Female Vamps of "Port Charles"

Port Charles was a daytime soap opera which aired in the United States on the ABC Network from 1997 to 2003 (and reran for several years beyond that on cable TV network "SoapNet").  The show was a spinoff of the longtime daytime drama "General Hospital" but aimed at a younger demographic which more than likely was its downfall as the target audience that would watch it was not home at the time slot it usually aired, and this was during the infancy of DVR's.  This show very much fit in to what eventually became common place on nighttime TV with shows like Supernatural, Vampire Diaries and True Blood.

 The show revolved around residents of the city of Port Charles (where General Hospital is also located) but had specific storylines or "Story arcs" as they were called that lasted about 3 months at a time and usually dealt with some type of supernatural force wreaking havoc throughout the town similar to True Blood.

 The story arcs with the most success was the vampire ones beginning with "Tainted Love" which saw an evil vampire named "Caleb" come to town and wreak havoc while trying to claim the doppelganger of his long dead love who lived in the town.  From there whenever ratings tanked "Caleb" came back to life and a new vampire story arc started. 

So now that we've got the explanations done,  here is you Port Charles femme vamp roster.

Gabriela Garza

Played by the lovely Ion Overman, up until the "Tainted Love" arc, Gabriella was a nice girl who grew up in a respectable Hispanic family and worked as a nurse at the hospital.  Then she started to act weird.  As the story went on she began to distance herself from her family as well as her fiancé.  One day, during a fight in which her fiancé confronted her about her strange behavior, she admits to seeing another man.  As he storms off in anger he accidental cuts himself and begins to bleed.  She immediately goes from cold hearted and angry to concerned for his well being so much so that she calls him back, grabs the bloody arm AND BEGINS SUCKING THE BLOOD!  Yes, that is how you find out this story arc was about vampires.  This came completely out of the blue, a main character goes from normal to vampire in a number of weeks with no hint that the story had any supernatural involvement at all.  From there the show begins to explain how she got that way and who did it to her but I've yet to see any movie or TV show pull off a twist like that where there is absolutely NO WAY you saw it coming.

Olivia "Livvie" Locke

Played by former Playboy Playmate, Baywatch Beauty and Dancing With the Stars champion Kelly Monaco, Livvie found herself the object of evil vampire Caleb's obsession starting with the "Tainted Love" story arc.  In another of MANY innovative plot twists that this show will never get the credit it deserves for pulling off, after Caleb finally gets his hands on Livvie, convinces her to love him and turns her into a vampire, she eventually becomes so evil that by the end of the shows run he almost wants nothing to do with her and even sides with a vampire slayer to try to get rid of her.  It's the equivalent to Dracula the most evil vampire of all turning one his brides just for her to say thank you, turn around and bitch slap him, lock him in a dungeon and destroy Transylvania single handedly.  Or just the "Akasha" character from "Queen of the Damned". 

Elizabeth Barrington

The socialite mother of show regular "Allison Barrington",  Elizabeth (played by Rebecca Staab of Dark Shadows reboot fame) came to town during the story arc "Naked Eyes" after her husband (Allison's father) went missing but she didn't come alone.  She had a new boyfriend who was none other than the Leader of the rock group "The Steven Clay Experience" Steven Clay.  The problem with that is, "Steven Clay" looked EXACTLY like now deceased vampire Caleb Morely.  Eventually we find out that Steven and Caleb ARE the same person but he now has a magic water concoction that keeps his vampire side at bay.  Problem is, he eventually turns Elizabeth (which you can see HERE) who doesn't like the stuff and begins biting pretty much any guy she comes in contact with because she's lonely (as Steven/Caleb is using her to make Livvie jealous). Below is a scene where she gets outed as a vampire to her daughter Allison as she bares her fangs and bites a guy who was attacking her.

Reese Black

Played by Mariam Parris, Reese was the guitarist of the "Stephan Clay Experience" (the band headed up by vampire Caleb Morely in disguise).  Everyone in the band was a vampire excluding drummer Ricky Garza who was added when they came to Port Charles.  Immediately Reese had a thing for Ricky and wanted to be able to be the one to turn him.  Reese was very grungy, needy and extremely jealous of those who she believed had a better life than her own rough upbringing.  So much so that she tried to turn Allison Barrington just for being rich and having friends. Things got much worse for her when she was thrown into the magic spring that released the vampire curse from her thus in her opinion stealing the only real identity she ever had. Eventually she found a guy who was willing to put up with her MANY negative personality quirks (as his ex before her was literally the most evil female on the planet so you can only go uphill from there). So she had a bit of a happy ending in the end though the sub plot that she was probably the sister of Allison Barrington was never addressed.
