Vampiress Review: The Body Beneath

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0065483/

The Gist:  Reverend Alexander Ford, A Vampire masquerading as a pastor kidnaps distant relatives of his with the goal of strengthening their blood line.

Female Vampire Factor: The pastor has three vampire henchwomen who do his bidding.  For reasons never really explained they're green.
By the movies end the Pastor does somewhat accomplish his goal.  As they make plans to expand to America it's revealed after they leave that one of the relatives he kidnaps, Susan Ford (Jackie Scarvellis) is turned and we see her bite her fiance.
The film ends with Susan letting her fiance know that the estate the Pastor and his vampire followers were living in is now all there's.

Final Opinion:  Most of the people in the film are vampires but the end scene with Susan is the only real vampiric thing in the movie that's shown on camera (there are a few scenes where the green vampiresses bite someone off camera or you just see them bum rush someone).  Otherwise the film is mostly just long drawn out speeches from the reverend and most of the vampires look very clownish.  Also as you can see no fangs in the film either.  I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 1 out of 5.

Vampires Review: "Black Sunday"

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0054067/

The Gist:  A devil worshiping witch brought back to life needs to posses the body of a young girl.

Clarification:  As the movie starts Ava the witch is about to be burned alive by a group of villagers lead by her brother for devil worshiping.  Prior to her death she puts a curse on everyone.  They put a mask with deadly spikes on the inside on her prior to burning her but as soon as they start the fire a strong storm hits out of no where putting the fire out and scaring off all the villagers as a sign.  They eventually end up burying the body.

Fast forward a few generations and a couple of doctors accidentally stumble upon the tomb of the which.  They then not so accidentally open it and of course one of them has to pull off the death mask, cutting himself in the process and bleeding into the mouth of the witches corpse bringing her back to life.  During this same time is when they meet the distant relative of the witch; Katia who looks exactly like her whom one of the doctors falls for.  From there you basically have two women who look exactly alike with one being good and one being evil.

Female Vampire Factor:  The vampirism in this film is implied meaning there are absolutely no bite scenes.  Much like the Bella Lugosi Dracula film you see the vampire coming toward the victim before the screen fades to black.
The main characters of the film are played by Barbara Steele who is very attractive as Katia
but Ava the vampire/witch is seen mostly with holes in her face until she reaches the point where she can disguise herself as Katia.
This film was made with a high scare and gore factor in mind and is not a romanticized vampire film like most of this time period.  It gets a Vampire Beauty rating of 1 out of 5.  For a much sexier vampire film with a similar plot check out the 1971 film "The Vampire Happening".

Vampiress Review: Dracula's Great Love

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0068654/

The Gist:  In order to bring his daughter back to life Count Dracula must get a woman to fall in love with him without the use of vampire abilities.

Clarification:  The gist being what the movies plot eventually turns out being if you watch it all the way through in reality you're getting a story of a group of travelers (most of which being attractive slutty women) who get stranded in the woods when their stage coach breaks down and has to seek shelter in an old sanatorium that is inhabited by a doctor who just so happens to be a disguised Count Dracula and the women's ambitions to seduce the doctor.

The voice acting for the English dub is pretty bad but forgivable since so is the movie in general.  The beginning of the film is filled with long drawn out scenes where nothing happens and the end of it consists of jump cuts where you loose large chunks of time with no explanation whatsoever.  It doesn't help that much of Count Dracula's dialogue (once you find out he's Count Dracula) is narrated to further confuse the viewer during these chopped up scenes since the narrated voice is often talking directly to characters on screen without his character on screen moving his mouth at all (I guess he's a telepath).

Selling Point:  At least there's tons of full frontal nudity.  This Dracula loves breasts way more than necks.

Female Vampire Factor:  This is where the movie could have and should have been much better.  (!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!).  Basically Dracula creates a harem of super sexy female vampires by having the girls turn each other in order to run one errand and that's to grab a virgin from the local village.

After that he has them destroyed because he changes his mind at the drop of a hat.  Then when plan B doesn't materialize (because the woman he's in love with is the only one that gets to choose whether she's turned or not, unlike her slutty friends)...  He kills himself over it just for the viewing audience to witness the woman change her mind AFTER he dies.

Basically Dracula chooses some girl he knew for two days over his dead daughter and paid for it.   None the less there is quite a bit of fem vamp T&A in this film just not quite at the use or level as you'd get in a Jean Rollins film even though the opportunity was there so this gets a Vampire Beauty Rating of 4 out of 5.
