Vampiress Review: "Vinopiri: Krvni davek" (Winepires: Blood Tool)

The Gist:  When her girlfriend goes missing and members of her family are found dead a woman goes on to investigate whats going on just to find out her town has been overtaken by a vampire who is controlling everyone with wine diluted with her blood.

Female Vampire Factor:  The main antagonist of the film is the vampiress Ana (Rebeka Kopcic)

She really doesn't have that much to do with most of the movie until the reveal that she's been spreading her vampire blood around and controlling the wine makers of the town.  Other than that her on screen time is basically flirting with a guy named Kristjan and using him as her own personal sex toy and blood bag.

She is the only female vampire in the film that shows fangs.  The other two assumed vampires in the film include a female wine maker named Nastja (Natasa Baveb)

and finally the movies main protagonist Eva (Tea Melin) who seems to foil our vampire villainous by dating her for a few years before poisoning her and killing her.  It's hinted that she has been turned by Ana when Ana offers to bring an Italian guy to feed on during this scene.

Final Opinion: The film is pretty decent until that stinker of a rushed ending. It's not that the concept of Eva swerving Ana is a bad one but how it's executed was just terrible.  You get a pretty well done would be finale of Eva infiltrating a ceremony where the vampires were going to sacrifice her girlfriend  and Ana sending her minions after her with Eva taking them all out but then all of a sudden Ana asks for a truce and you get the above scene of the two on vacation.  If the film was going to end that way then honestly the Krisjan character shouldn't have been in it (whose relationship with Ana takes up a good portion of the film) and the movie should have had the Eva/Ana relationship play out on screen where Eva embraces her vampirism while continuing to plan her revenge on Ana for killing her family and friends.  I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 2 out of 5.  It's a good film overall otherwise but the ending definitely takes you out of it.

Vampiress Review: "Vampyres (2015)"

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3654680/

The Gist: A group of campers in a remote area encounter a pair of serial killers who bath and drink the blood of their victims.

Female Vampire Factor:  The serial killers in this case are a set of lesbians.
They set their trap by seducing their male victims in with sex and then stabing them when they're vulnerable.
The dark haired of the two is probably bi-sexual as it's apparent that she does enjoy sex with the men prior to killing them.

Final Opinion: Much like the original film it would have been perfect had it been an actual vampire film instead of a film about crazy chicks who drink blood.  In fact it has nearly all the elements of a pretty decent vampire film and even teases you by having Hammer Horror's Caroline Monro in the film but it's still a film about vampires in habit only.
Since it's not a film about supernatural vampires it basically just comes off as super softcore torture porn. I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 1 out of 5. If you liked the original you will like this one but as a true vampire movie this and the original definitely are not.

Vampiress Review: "Wolvesbayne"

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1266121/
The Gist: A rich egotistical womanizing business man is attacked by a werewolf and finds himself in the middle of a wore between supernatural creatures he didn't know existed.

Clarification: Russell Bayne is a businessman who is trying to buy up a bunch of land to develop it into some type of project.  Problem is a small shop that sells occult things owned by a young lady named Alex Layton is in the way because she won't sell.
One night Russell is driving down a backwoods road at night when a lady stops him for help as she wrecks her car swerving as she saw something in the road.  That something ends up being a werewolf who destroys the woman and mauls Russell. He wakes up a few days later in the hospital and after Russell realizes he's turning into a monster he goes back to the shop and accuses Alex of putting a curse on him.
Once she realizes that he's a werewolf she reveals that she's one as well and volunteers to help him control it.  While all this is going down a group of vampires are after Russell who want him for their plot to no longer live in the shadows and in fear of humans and take over with the help of their resurrected queen Lilith.

Selling Point: This is one of those movies where the werewolves are hot too.  They don't necessarily turn all the way in some cases so just hairy hot girls with fangs at times.

Female Vampire Factor: The vampire queen Lilith is played by Yancy Butler
Lilith is a lot like Queen Akasha in Queen of the Damned.  Many of the vampires prefer their life of solitude meanwhile she just wants to take over and will kill anyone including other vampires who get in the way of that.
The main vampire of film "Von Griem" is where the female vampire factor in this film truly comes from.  Basically he has a stable of sexy female vampires that do all his dirty work.

It's a pretty decent film even if the ending is ridiculously cheesy.  This is a bigger deal once you realize that this is a SyFy Channel film considering the reputation those have.  I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 3 out of 5.  The film does have an open ending hinting there could be a sequel but obviously after 10 years it's not happening.
